И в марине я смогу объяснить это любому яхтсмену, владеющему или не владеющему английским языком. Два. Догодываюсь, что она грамматически неправильная. Три. P.S. Наиболее удачный метод, регулярно используемый на себе - чтение книг на языке оригинала. Тогда запоминаешь язык не словами, а ситуациями и конструкциями. Во студенчестве, когда иноязычной беллетристики сыскать было не так легко, брал книги в иностраном отделе Маяковки (Петербург). Единственное что, читать лучше чего проще и кондовее - детективы, триллеры и т.д. Отлдично идет Флемминг с его Бондом. Умение Кинга обрабатывать слова и простыми предложениями излагать захватывающие истории у меня всегда вызывало восхищение. Опять же прост и понятен язык Хэмингуея. Чтение рассказов Роальда Даля не станет зазря потраченным временем. Сейчас книжки можно купить и в России, и скачать из интернета. Или, скажем, в аэропорту, вместо или после дьюти фри загляните в книжную лавку, купите пару покет буков "криминального чтива". За четыре часа полета и активный словарь пополните, и время быстрее пролетит. Идеальный вариант, конечно, пробовать потом кому это перессказывать, чтобы закреплять обороты. Но это уже сложнее. Где сейчас найдешь если не благодарных, то хотя бы настолько терпеливых слушателей

I am not against positive attitudes in correcting somebody's mistakes, me included. However when it became a norm or repetition - it distracts from the topic of learning. Some beginners feel intimidated and leave the topic.
Idea is to attract more beginners to learning with encouragements in their starting efforts.
Frendly corrections with tact and politness do not harm.

There is no need in translation of similar frases. The obvious law and attitude in any marina is to help in any matter to each other, without asking.
Simple language nevertheless would be like this: I help you today, you help me tomorrow.

Generaly speaking, the mistake made by using Future Simple in "if clause" is not all that crucial. It's, IMHO, one of those mistakes not affecting the meaning and understanding of what you are trying to say.

What really matters is to know the difference between, say, the extent of the conditionality.

Неизбежность последствий. Изъясняемся простым настоящим. Ты мне, я - тебе.

If you do, I do.

If you help me with mooring, I help you as well.

Ставим условие. Если ты (в настоящем) сделаешь это, то я (в будущем) сделаю то.
If you do, I will do.

If you help me with mooring today, I will give you a hand tomorrow.

Мечты-мечты. Если бы ты это сделал. я бы тогда (в том смысле, что я на тебя, криворукого, не очень-то и рассчитываю, так что можешь не париться, но...)

If you did, I would do.

If you helped me with mooring today, I would help you then.

Сожаления о несбывшемся. Помоги ты мне вчера (чем дуть пиво, гад, и пялиться, как я мучаюсь...), я б тебе сегодня помог (звиняйте, барин).

Только Коллега Улисс меня понимает... Да, вы почти угадали. Конечно я привёл неудачный пример. Я не делюсь знаниями с коллегами не потому что жмот, а потому что боюсь навредить. Я имел ввиду нереальное условие, конструкцию "If I were doing something". Она замечательна тем, что полностью нарушает правила построения простых предложений, сама по себе являясь правилом. Коллеги не владеющие английским языком, посмотрите только на маленькую толику - использование условий в английском языке, и скажите, неужели вы верите в то, что всё это можно передать посредством форума? to Serolis Спасибо за поддержку, но я всё-таки уже взрослый мальчик. Если бы я посчитал нужным ответить глупостью на глупость коллеги, я бы всенепременно это сделал.

As the Engilsh saying goes "There are many ways to skin the cat". I believe you can well live and communicate without those complicated rules and exceptions. Jast keep it simple. Simple Present, Simple Past, Simple Future, and some basic knowlege of parts of speech and words order in a sentence be it Affirmative, Imperative, Negative, or Question - these are enough. You might even try to write a book, something in Erlend Loe style

+ Present Continuous. This is what I meant saying "4 времени минимально необходимый минимум". More than that, I had the same opinion for very long time - just keep it simple. And it has been working for me for many years, especially when I talked to non-native English speakers in Turkey, like a salesman in Marmaris who pronounced word "rainy" like "райни". That reminds me of one nice day in St.Petersbourg. I was showing the town for one German girl (and showing off a little bit, of course). Now there we were, standing on the wall of the Peter & Paul Fortress looking at the small beach at our feet and me explaining that locals nicknamed those sunbathing down there as "prisoners of Petropavlovka". Few of them ever take chances of swiming because of dirty water and a strong current. "You've got such a good vocabulary" - she went with a compliment, -"current and so on". "That's easy" - I wanted to say, -"Just remember that line from 'Hamlet': And enterprises from great pith and moment with this regard their current turns awry and loose the name of action". But then decided better shut up and keep it simple It workes sometimes

Извините, но разводилово чистейшей воды, за три месяца. Учил а английской школе 10 лет, университет 5 лет и почти ноль. По работе потребоавалось, год мычал, через два говорил бегло ( и это при ежедневном живом общении).
Все остальное муть !!! И конечно есть очень много разных методик, методов и пр. За три месяца ведь!

Вопос к значению слова "учил" Судя по всему, именно на работе потребовалось "учить", а в школе и институте это была халтура или повинность...........
